In mid-January 2025, I began making posts on BlueSky most days in which I post one or more medieval manuscripts associated with a saint in the calendar for that day. (I work from several calendars: the Roman Martyrology, Episcopal and Church of England calendars, saints in medieval calendars compiled here. Day of observance may vary.)
Below is a running list of links to those BlueSky threads.
Note that these are informal posts, not the kind of thing I’d labor over polishing as proper posts here. I find manuscripts quickly each morning, take a quick look at what’s interesting about them, and discuss paleographical features on the fly. Comments of other BlueSky users often supplement what I know. It’s a way to become more aware of the calendar of saints while exploring what’s out there in the world of digitized manuscripts that I might not otherwise go looking for.
For the time being, you need a BlueSky account to view them, but I have started adding links to the MSS I linked to from the posts.
